British Columbia Health Authorities Select AIS to provide Learning Management System for Competency Testing

Winnipeg Manitoba – Mr. Gerry Labossiere, President of AIS Assessment & Intelligence Systems Inc. (AIS) announced today that the Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority and Vancouver Island Health Authority have purchased the AIS Learning Centre to support their respective RAI implementations.
“ We are pleased that the Fraser, Interior and Vancouver Island Health Authorities have become our first clients for the AIS Learning Centre, stated Mr. Labossiere, President of AIS. “The competency testing within the Learning Centre will be an important element in the Health Authorities’ educational strategies. In addition to assisting with the Health Authorities interrater reliability, the competency testing will assist in providing feedback on the effectiveness of their educational strategy and identify RAI areas where users are experiencing difficulties.”
“The Learning Centre competency testing was developed based on needs identified by our Mastering RAI clients”, stated Tim Baribeau, Vice President of AIS. “ Clients emphasized to us the need for accurate RAI assessments. The various RAI applications – Quality Indicators, Outcome Measures and the RUG III all use the RAI data, hence the importance of demonstrating a high level of competency of the RAI assessment. “
The Learning Centre is part of a series of eLearning Solutions provided by AIS. The AIS Learning Centre is a hosted, web-based Enterprise Learning Content Management System (LCMS). The Learning Centre provides access to the RAI 2.0 and RAI-HC competency evaluation tests. Evaluation test scores are stored within the Learning Centre and available to on demand to individual learners. Users with ‘Instructor’ rights have access to learner scores based on facility or organizational groupings through an extensive set of reports.
The RAI competency tests have been prepared by Heath eTraining International and licensed with interRAI. John P Hirdes PhD is a principal of HeTI and has prepared the competency tests using his extensive experience, the RAI manual and Mastering the RAI 2.0 as content sources. Health eTraining International Inc. is a company specializing in research-based instructional design to provide ongoing content and product development of Mastering the RAI.
