Mastering the RAI 2.0 - English and French Versions
Mastering the RAI 2.0 is a comprehensive, interactive computer-based educational program designed to help you learn the RAI assessment for long term care and complex continuing care settings. The educational framework in Mastering the RAI 2.0 combines self-paced learning with the use of the RAI manual as a reference document, along with collaborative learning with the clinical support of your peers and mentors.
Mastering the RAI 2.0 is comprised of two core modules, the Educator module and the Self-Paced Learner module. The Educator module is designed to prepare an educator to conduct instructor lead MDS-2.0 instrument training sessions and provides the educator with a comprehensive presentation for delivering the training. The Self-Paced Learner module is designed to facilitate individual self-paced training.
Self-paced Learner
The self-paced learning module assists new users to explore the RAI assessment approach independently. A real life case study will help you learn the assessment form and care planning protocols in a realistic way that is directly applicable to your work setting. The program is broken down into manageable units with navigation feedback that shows your progress through the presentation.
Educator
The educator module is designed to help you with the planning, presentation, and practice aspects of your educational program.
There are two menu choices “Educator Information”, and “Computer-Based Presentation”
In the “Educator Information” section you are provided with important topics related to the RAI. This is where you can enhance your own knowledge about the RAI but also where you can get information about organizing Educational Sessions and making print-outs of materials that you need, like handouts and speaker notes.
In the section “Computer Based Presentation” you are provided with a complete set of slides that you can use to do the entire Mastering the RAI presentation to a group of new learners. You can use the speakers notes provided in “Educator Information” to supplement your presentation.
