Winnipeg Manitoba – Mr. Gerry Labossiere, President of Assessment & Intelligence Systems (AIS) announced today that the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC) has selected AIS to provide their eLearning system to its Community Care Access Centres (CCACs).
The CCAC eLearning system is called Mastering the RAI-HC (Resident Assessment Instrument-Home Care) and is designed to integrate the expert advice of instructional designers, MDS trainers, leading MDS researchers and proven instructional material to provide cost effective, high quality education to assist Case Managers with their ongoing RAI educational needs. It is based on realistic social and clinical interactions and case studies to facilitate learning.
“As nurses and other health care workers use the AIS solutions, CCAC clients will soon benefit from enhanced health care”, said Dr. Jim Armstrong, OACCAC CEO. “The Mastering the RAI-HC solution will allow the CCAC's to provide high quality, efficient and cost effective education to assist case coordinators with the ongoing RAI educational needs.”
The Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres represents Ontario’s 42 CCACs that provide coordinated one-stop access to health and support services at home and at school. CCACs are also responsible for access to long-term care facilities and information and referral to local community services.
